Lead Engineer or Project Manager for New Value Searching Activity
Location: Tokyo Midtown Tower 38F, 9-7-1 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Honda Innovation Lab Floor
Annual salary: 9.4 million JPY or more
Level: Mid-career

Job Duties
As a member of the development team supporting the rapid evolution of Software Defined Vehicles (SDV) and the connected platform linked with Honda’s models/products, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
 
Exploring, validating, and proposing new services that enhance the attractiveness and value of connected cars.
Investigating, verifying, and promoting IT technologies supporting the rapid evolution of SDVs.
Analyzing and disseminating trends in the automotive and IT industries, and product/technology trends both internally and externally.
Systematizing the new value exploration process and leading the new value exploration project team, while improving processes through practical operations.
Promoting collaborative examination and verification of solutions that generate new value with partners.
Proposing and advancing initiatives to strengthen organizational capabilities.
Please note that based on your expertise, suitability, and company needs, you may be assigned to different tasks as deemed necessary by the company.

Qualifications

  • Business level English proficiency
  • Required skills: Experience in system development or project management in system development (such as platforms, cloud, web applications, or backend systems)
  • Preferred skills
    Experience
    ●Experience in automotive-related system development, connected services development, or project management (such as in-vehicle systems/ECUs)
    ●Experience in system development utilizing cloud services (especially AWS)
    ●Experience in the development and operation of systems for commercial services
    ●Experience in developing digital twins and software simulation
    ●Experience in vendor management in system development
     
    Skills and Qualifications
    ●Knowledge and certification in cloud services
    ●Project management-related qualifications (such as IPA PM, PMP)
    ●Communication skills to build good relationships with individuals from various positions and backgrounds, including vehicle development departments, business units, and overseas subsidiaries

    ●Foreign language communication skills in a business context
